Summer Kick Off Whole30 Day 3-5 Update

Day 3

Woke up with a headache sooo that didn’t last long.  Coffee helps and a good breakfast with some fruit just to satisfy my need for something “sweet”.  Not loving this feeling but must mean it’s working.

Day 4

I finally have a headache today from no sugar but I meal prepped (for the first time ever) and haven’t been hungry!!

Day 5

No headache this morning.  I’m sooo missing bread and pasta and my other favorite carbs.  I did a workout with a friend (granted it was in the garage gym and still pretty hot) but I basically almost passed out afterwards.  I def think it’s from lack of calories and my “normal” eating habits than the heat.  Sooo I have to really adjust my workouts to make sure they’re challenging but not the last workout I’ll ever do.

Day 3

Day 3 has been the hardest yet for me because we didn’t have too much going on today so I have sat around all my “normal” food and had to think about it more!!  I am still making the same old dishes for my kids and trying to eat first so I don’t eat theirs. 🙂

Day 4

Major headache and crabbiness today, lol.  Slept like shit (really she put a poop emoji but I don’t know how to put one of those on here) last night…. tomorrow has to be better!

Day 5

Q: Is anyone upset they agreed to this?

A: I’m def not upset because at the end of the day I haven’t had any gluten or sugar or pop!  Which are 3 things I think I can stick with through the month at least!!

I ordered a frother from Amazon.  Thinking bulletproof coffee might be my new jam! LOL.

Day 4

I’m at my parent’s house in East TX.  We went shopping when we got here and my step dad (who loves to cook) is totally on board with W30 so we have been eating GOOD!  I haven’t been hungry at all!  I don’t even wanna go home now. LOL.

Day 5

Q: Is anyone upset they agreed to this?

A: I feel okay.  I’m not upset because I know I had picked up some terrible eating habits that needed to be broken.  But I can’t wait to eat bread and noodles again and have at least a low sugar creamer in my coffee! 🙂

Funny story: This morning I realized I forgot my little nutpod creamers at my mom’s house.  I figured maybe I could just add a tiny teaspoon of my old non dairy creamer to hold me over until I could get to the grocery store today.  Bad idea!  I took one sip and gagged.  I had to spit it out because it tasted horrible and weird.  Even a teaspoon was too sweet for me!  WTH??  I love creamer!  Right???  Who am I right now?!

Day 3

I have been extremely hungry!  I ate a huge dinner and felt pregnant after.  I need to reference the W30 Meal Planning Guide!

Day 4

Today is my bday.  I have to admit, I cheated a little.  I shared a paleo dessert with my husband.  I’m sure it wasn’t W30 compliant since it was a dessert.  Although I think the ingredients were mostly Paleo, I did not view the list.  Good news is, after I got right back on track with the W30 rules!  Normally, I’d use my bday as an excuse to eat EVERYTHING! 😉

Day 5

I’m still feeling VERY hungry!  I think part of the reason is that I need to sleep more and drink more water.  Had a delicious dinner – grilled chicken with a W30 marinade, avocado, grilled asparagus, sweet potatoes, red onions and carrots.  YUM! 🙂
